Last.fm Gives Subscribers First Taste of New Features
May 21 at 1:01pm by admin
The folks at popular music community Last.fm have decided to share the bleeding edge features with the most loyal users: their subscribers. If you’re a paying user, head on here to join the beta program, and experience the upcoming stuff before others do.
As far as the features in this beta go, Last.fm has got quite a lot in stock. First, there’s the library, which means your entire Last.fm profile will be made visible; you can add to the library either by scrobbling or by clicking a button. You can also browse it, play the music, and get music recommendation based on it.
Then, there are the real-time charts, which means you don’t have to wait untill Sunday to see what you (and your friends) have been listening during the week. Sounds like a small feature, but personally, I’m really happy about it. For some reason, the wait is killing me.
Other beta features include activity feeds, new visual styles, improved music player and podcasts. The beta will be opened to more users later, so even if you’re not a subscriber - and don’t plan to become one - there’s still hope.
